The iSeeIt Team Approach
iSeeIt enables a Team Approach that empowers Parents, Teachers, Doctors, Therapists, Friends & Caregivers to communicate and work together like never before.
We designed iSeeIt to function on the user's PDA and be installed on up to three different desktop/laptop computers so that the team can support the individual user more consistently and effectively.
This is one example that illustrates this capability. In the example, iSeeIt is installed at Home, School and an After School location. Please remember that you can install iSeeIt at any three locations that are important to you.
Feel free to browse through the tabs and brainstorm how your team could use iSeeIt to support your friend or loved one throughout the day.
Getting Ready for School »
Nobody knows your child like you do: as you prepare your child for school you can make observations that will set them up for success throughout the day. Communicate these observations to the rest of the team:
Have an image on iSeeIt that the rest of the support team recognizes as 'you', the parents. Simply tap the Record Audio button and speak into the PDA. Record an audio message for your child's school teacher, Ms. Johnson, and her Speech and Language Pathologist, Dr. Smith, every day.
"...Good morning Ms. Johnson, Susan is having a great morning! She got dressed quickly and had her favorite pancakes for breakfast. Last night we reviewed and worked on the lesson plan Dr. Smith sent home, Susan should be ready to pick up right where you left off..."
With this or any message sent through iSeeIt you can quickly communicate valuable information to the teacher without taking the time to write a note, compose an email or make a phone call.
Ms. Johnson's Classroom »
When Susan arrives at school her teacher, Ms. Johnson, borrows iSeeIt and navigates to the image that represents 'you'. She taps Play Audio and your message instantly brings her up to speed on Susan's day.
Ms. Johnson knows Susan is having a great morning and that last night you worked with Susan to reinforce yesterday's work from her time at school and with Dr. Smith. Now Ms. Johnson can use iSeeIt to continue to build upon yesterday's progress.
During the day, Ms. Johnson and Susan are walking through the playground and Ms. Johnson realizes that Susan is fascinated by the leaves falling off the trees. Ms. Johnson captures several images of the leaves and moves them onto iSeeIt. Back in the classroom, Susan connects with the images and Ms. Johnson knows that these images are clearly something that the team can build upon.
At the end of the day Ms. Johnson navigates to an image that represents 'Ms. Johnson' to the support team. She taps the Record Audio button and records a message for Dr. Smith and you, the parents.
Dr. Smith's Office »
Susan arrives at the office of Dr. Smith, her Speech and Language Pathologist. Dr. Smith borrows iSeeIt and taps on the images that represent Ms. Johnson and then another image that represents you, the parents. He hears about the studying you and Susan did last night, how her morning went and the progress that Ms. Johnson made this afternoon.
This puts Dr. Smith in a position to continue the team effort. He copies the images captured by Ms. Johnson, saved on Susan's iSeeIt PDA, and moves them onto his version of iSeeIt running on his office computer. iSeeIt can be installed at up to three different locations.
In light of the day's progress with the breakthrough at school, Dr. Smith begins to build a new lesson plan to capitalize on Susan's success. He and Susan work with the images captured by Ms. Johnson and Dr. Smith takes note of where additional images may be useful.
At the end of their session, Dr. Smith navigates to the image that represents 'Dr. Smith' to the rest of the team. He taps the Record Audio button and records a message for you, the parents, and Ms. Johnson. His message includes some guidance on how you can review today's steps with Susan and some ideas for Ms. Johnson to use at school tomorrow.
Back Home »
Back at home you tap the Play Audio button to listen to the messages from Ms. Johnson and Dr. Smith. You're excited to hear the progress that was made in throughout the day and you know where to start working with Susan tonight.
You move the new images captured by Ms. Johnson (on Susan's iSeeIt PDA) onto your version of iSeeIt at your house.
As you're moving Ms. Johnson's images you remember some other images you had captured of the leaves changing color that you had shown Susan earlier in the season. You think they may be of some help so you move your images onto Susan's PDA so that Ms. Johnson and Dr. Smith can use them tomorrow.
Progress was made today and it was because the entire team was working together, using images that were significant to Susan.
